Nicolas Pascarel - Associate Director
With an MBA in International Business from ESCP, France, Nico believes that any positive social and environmentla actions by corporates should be rewarded. To this end, Nico is determined to align CSI strategies with the economic bottom line of businesses and in this way, encourage more businesses to engage in corporate responsibility. Similarly, Nico promotes the entrechment of Corporate Responsibility through out the value chain


Andrew Purnell - Associate Director
With an academic background in education and the natural sciences leading to a broad experience in community development, Andrew understands the requirements for achieving effective outcomes at a community level. Andrew believes that, in order to access deserved resources, NPOs should institutionalise professional standards throughout the organisation. With a special focus on Strategic Communication and Project Management as well as Fundraising and Income Generation, Andrew and has assisted a number of NPOs to formulate their strategic objectives as well as the social or environmental outcomes they strive for.

Pierre Coetzer - Co-ordinator & Case Study writer - BoP Learning Lab
With a M.A. in Public Affairs and International Relations from the Université Catholique de Louvain (1997) and a B.Comm. Equivalent., ICHEC, Brussels (1994), Pierre started his career in the european invstment banking industry in the area of corporate client support. Upon moving to South Africa, Pierre's work has shifted towards his interest in Business for Devlopment. Pierre has researched and compiled most of Reciprocity's BoP Fact Sheets for the Southern African BoP Learning Lab where he also fills the role of co-ordinator.

Tatiana Thieme - BoP Adviser
As a Doctoral candidate with the University of Cambridge, Tatiana is rounding off a sound academic foundation: M.Phil., Geographical Research, University of Cambridge (2008); M.Sc., Law and Anthropology, London School of Economics and Political Science (2004); B.A., Anthropology and Dance, Cornell University (2000). Tatiana is an ethnographer with a special focus on emerging markets and has wide ranging experience in BoP research and strategy consulting.
